LOTUS WOMENS CENTER
The design for the Lotus Women’s Center was inspired by the various forms of a “Gold” lotus flower and its symbolism of purity, beauty, eternity, prosperity, and fertility. The circlular designs echo the floating lotus pads which create multiple points of emphasis throughout the space. inspired by the concept image; color, texture, and scale was utilized throughout to provide a harmonious connection, while also serving as wayfinding. each space employs soft nature tones and materials to add warmth, texture, and a level of sophistication to the otherwise sterile environment. The Lotus Women’s Center is designed to serve as the premier full-service destination for women and babies.

SEMINOLE STATE HOSPITALITY BUILDING
This design draws from the bold rising lines to create a strong geometric form which is reinforced throughout the flooring and ceiling finishes. These bold black repeating lines echo the modern-industrial feel that we incorporated into the design, throughout the space. The high contrast created from the bright white areas in the painting, emphasizes the brightness from the natural lighting in a space that is surrounded by industrialized glass. The hues of the blue and yellow within this painting represents Seminole State color palette and captures the feeling, value, and form that we designed for the Seminole State Hospitality Management Building. We are driven by the idea of bettering the knowledge of our community and future fellow students are committed to designing a legacy in Seminole State’s academics, by creating a space for exceptional events and a place to grow and succeed in the hospitality field.

The use of Biophilic design aids the mind, body and soul while bright white walls reflect natural sunlight from the surrounding floor to ceiling windows. The panoramic lake views from the employee work station area contributes to the employee’s productivity, health and well-being. Emphasis is placed on bold colors found throughout the upholstery and flooring selections to boost creativity and act as way-finding components for the employees and visitors. Symmetrical furniture arrangements balance the space plan, while glass walls on the interior of the building retain daylight. Geometric shapes found in innovative acoustic solutions and flooring design add visual interest to the space and reflect the Velocity branding. Our focus on employee well-being, biophilia, fun color palettes, daylight and quality views makes Velocity Media a great company to work for.

DIGITAL RENDERINGS
These interior concepts were all rendered digitally by various design programs and finalized in Photoshop. These concepts were developed as a study on the theory of color and were designed to challenge our "typical use of color. Click here to see more.

COLOR HAND RENDERINGS
These interior concepts were all rendered by hand using various mediums. Predominately rendered using Prismacolor markers and Micron felt tip pens, these hand drawings are either full interior concepts or furniture study pieces. Two items in this collection were rendered in color and b&w in order to show the translation between coloring methods.
